Seek first the Kingdom of God…

I love to write! We are building a community of readers and writers that share a passion to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then everything else will follow. This is a place where we express our writing and imagination for His glory.

Emotional Meditation By Micah Siemens

The march now sweeps to its widest horizon. “Summon your power, O God; show your might, O God, as you have done for us before.” The psalmist calls heaven and earth to witness once more, but now the focus is cosmic: God’s sovereignty extends over all nations. The procession becomes universal, drawing every tribe, every land, into the rhythm of His glory.

The imagery soars with victorious grandeur. Mountains quiver, storms surge, seas roar—creation itself echoes the march of the Lord. The psalmist reminds the listener that God’s power is not confined to Israel; it governs the world. Every echo of thunder, every ripple of waters, proclaims His triumph. The earth is both stage and witness to His dominion.

Nations are summoned to sing, to bring offerings, and to recognize the one true King. “Kings of armies flee; they flee, and she who remains at home divides the spoil.” Victory flows outward, touching all peoples. God’s march is comprehensive: it scatters the proud, exalts the righteous, and calls the nations to participate in His justice and mercy. Power and worship advance hand in hand.

The psalm closes with exaltation: “Awesome is God from His sanctuary, the God of Israel; He gives power and strength to His people.” The Warrior-King has marched through wilderness and mountain, through conquest and procession, and now He settles in majesty, empowering His people for the next steps of life and mission. The final note is doxological: praise acknowledges not only what God has done, but who He is—ever mighty, ever present, ever sovereign.

Psalm 68 concludes the march with full sweep: from divine uprising to cosmic victory, from intimate daily support to worldwide dominion. The rhythm of triumph, protection, procession, and praise carries the reader from earth to heaven, from battlefield to sanctuary, leaving all creation resonating with awe and devotion.
