Seek first the Kingdom of God…

I love to write! We are building a community of readers and writers that share a passion to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then everything else will follow. This is a place where we express our writing and imagination for His glory.

Emotional Meditation—By Micah Siemens

“Say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns!’ Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity” The psalmist proclaims a message of enduring hope: the Lord reigns. Though kingdoms rise and fall, cultures change, and the world often seems shaken by uncertainty, God’s sovereign rule remains unchanging. His throne is never threatened, His purposes are never frustrated, and His wisdom never fails. Because He reigns, His people can live with confidence even in troubled times. The stability of the world rests not upon human strength or political power but upon the faithful government of the eternal King, who rules with perfect righteousness and unfailing justice.

“He will judge the peoples with equity” God’s judgment is not driven by prejudice, corruption, or imperfect knowledge, as human judgments so often are. He sees every heart completely, knows every hidden motive, and always acts in perfect righteousness. For those who love Him, this truth brings comfort rather than fear. The Judge of all the earth will always do what is right. Every wrong that seems unanswered, every injustice that appears forgotten, and every act of faithfulness that goes unnoticed by the world remains fully known to Him. His justice assures us that evil will not have the final word, for the Lord’s righteous reign will one day be fully revealed.

“Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it” The psalmist invites all creation to join in joyful celebration because its rightful King reigns. Heaven and earth, sea and sky, together form a magnificent chorus declaring the glory of their Creator. Creation itself reflects His wisdom, power, and beauty, and it eagerly anticipates the day when every trace of sin’s curse will be removed. As we behold the wonders of God’s world, we are reminded that every sunrise, every mountain, every ocean wave, and every star-filled sky quietly testifies to the greatness of the One who made them all.

“Let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes” The language of singing trees and rejoicing fields beautifully portrays the anticipation of creation awaiting its Redeemer. Ever since the fall, the whole created order has groaned under the effects of sin, yet it looks forward to the day when Christ’s reign will bring complete restoration. The coming of the Lord is not merely an event to be feared but a promise to be eagerly awaited. His return will bring healing where there has been brokenness, peace where there has been conflict, and perfect renewal to all that sin has damaged.

“For he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness” The certainty of Christ’s coming fills this psalm with both solemnity and hope. His judgment will be perfectly righteous because His character is perfectly holy, and His rule will be perfectly faithful because He always keeps His promises. For those who belong to Him, the coming Judge is also the gracious Savior who bore judgment in their place. Therefore, His return is not a cause for dread but for joyful expectation, as believers look forward to the day when faith becomes sight and righteousness fills the earth without measure.

Psalm 96:10–13 lifts our hearts beyond the uncertainties of the present and fixes our hope upon the everlasting reign of God. The Lord who created the heavens still governs His world with wisdom, justice, and perfect faithfulness, and His kingdom can never be shaken. Until the day He comes in glory, His people are called to proclaim His reign, trust His sovereign care, and rejoice in the hope of His promised return. May our lives bear witness to the confidence that comes from knowing our King reigns today, will judge with perfect righteousness tomorrow, and will one day make all things new to the everlasting praise of His glorious name.
