Seek first the Kingdom of God…

I love to write! We are building a community of readers and writers that share a passion to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then everything else will follow. This is a place where we express our writing and imagination for His glory.

Emotional Meditation—By Micah Siemens

“Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it!” The psalmist calls upon creation itself to join the chorus of praise rising to the Lord. The roaring sea, often seen as a symbol of untamed power and restless uncertainty, is pictured as lifting its voice in joyful worship before its Creator. Every creature, every nation, and every living soul is summoned to acknowledge the One who made them. Creation exists not merely to display God’s power but to reflect His glory. As we behold the beauty and grandeur of the world around us, we are reminded that every wave, every breath of wind, and every heartbeat ultimately points back to the sovereign Lord who sustains all things by His mighty hand.

“Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together before the LORD” The psalmist fills our imagination with a magnificent picture of creation celebrating the presence of its King. Rivers clap like joyful applause, and hills lift their voices in songs of triumph. Though these images are poetic, they reveal a profound truth: all creation eagerly responds to the One who gave it life. Humanity alone often hesitates to offer the praise that even the natural world seems prepared to give. When our hearts are awakened to God’s greatness, we gladly join this universal hymn of worship, recognizing that we were created to find our deepest joy in glorifying Him. The more we delight in the Lord, the more our lives become harmonious with the purpose for which we were made.

“For he comes to judge the earth” The coming of the Lord is presented not as a cause for despair but as a reason for celebration. The brokenness of this world will not endure forever because God Himself is coming to set all things right. Every injustice will be addressed, every wrong will be answered, and every effect of sin will ultimately give way to His perfect rule. For those who belong to Him, the coming Judge is also the Redeemer who has secured their salvation through His grace. His return is the fulfillment of every promise, the answer to every longing heart, and the hope that sustains believers as they faithfully await His appearing.

“He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity” Unlike the flawed judgments of humanity, the Lord’s judgment is perfectly righteous and completely impartial. He cannot be deceived, corrupted, or influenced by appearances. Every decision He makes flows from His holy character and perfect knowledge. This truth comforts weary hearts living in a world where justice often seems delayed or denied. The Lord sees what others overlook, remembers what others forget, and faithfully vindicates all that is true and good. His righteousness assures us that His kingdom will be marked forever by peace, holiness, and perfect justice.

Psalm 98:7–9 lifts our eyes beyond the present world to the glorious reign of the coming King. The whole creation eagerly anticipates His appearing because His presence will bring the restoration for which it longs. As we wait for that day, we are invited to join creation’s song by living lives filled with joyful worship, steadfast hope, and confident trust. May our hearts rejoice in the certainty that the Lord reigns today, will come again in glory, and will establish His righteous kingdom forever. Until that day, may our lives continually echo the praise of heaven and earth, declaring that our faithful King alone is worthy of everlasting honor, glory, and praise.
