Seek first the Kingdom of God…

I love to write! We are building a community of readers and writers that share a passion to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then everything else will follow. This is a place where we express our writing and imagination for His glory.

Emotional Meditation By Micah Siemens

“He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate” This verse reminds us that God’s wonderful works reveal His gracious and compassionate heart. He does not want us to forget His faithfulness, especially when life becomes difficult and our hearts grow weary. Perhaps you are going through a season when your struggles seem to overshadow the blessings God has given you. You may be praying for answers, longing for relief, or wondering whether the Lord still sees your pain. In such moments, it is easy to remember your disappointments more clearly than His past faithfulness. Yet God invites you to look back and remember the times He sustained you, comforted you, and gave you strength when you felt you had none left. His compassion has not diminished, and His grace has not run dry. Even when you cannot see what He is doing in your present circumstances, you can trust the heart of the One who has carried you through the past. Let the remembrance of His goodness renew your hope and remind you that you are never beyond the reach of His loving care.

“He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever” These words assure us that God is mindful of the needs of those who trust and reverence Him. His provision may not always come in the way we expect or at the time we desire, but His faithfulness remains steadfast. Perhaps you are facing financial difficulties, struggling to provide for your family, or carrying the quiet anxiety of not knowing how tomorrow will unfold. You may wonder how long you must wait before your situation changes. When uncertainty fills your mind, remember that God has not forgotten His promises. He sees the needs you cannot easily express and understands the fears you keep hidden in your heart. His covenant reminds us that His faithfulness does not depend on our circumstances or our ability to understand His timing. Although we may not always receive everything we desire, we can trust His wisdom and seek His help for each day. Do not allow fear of tomorrow to rob you of the peace God offers today. Bring your needs before Him, continue walking in faith, and rest in the assurance that His care remains constant even when the future feels uncertain.

“He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations” This verse recalls how God revealed His power through His mighty works on behalf of His people, fulfilling His purposes and demonstrating His faithfulness to His promises. It reminds us that the Lord is not powerless before the obstacles that stand in our way. Perhaps you are facing a situation that seems impossible to overcome, a family struggle that has lasted for years, or a burden that has left you feeling helpless. You may have reached the point where your own strength and wisdom no longer seem sufficient. Yet the God who demonstrated His power throughout history is still sovereign over His creation. This does not mean that every difficulty will disappear as quickly as we hope, but it assures us that our limitations do not limit Him. Sometimes God changes our circumstances; at other times, He strengthens our hearts to endure them with faith and patience. When the road ahead seems impossible, resist the temptation to believe that your present struggle defines your future. Remember the mighty works of God, trust His purposes even when they remain hidden, and continue to follow Him one step at a time. The situation may be greater than your strength, but it is never greater than God’s power.

Psalm 111:4–6 reminds us that God is compassionate toward His people, faithful to His covenant, and powerful in accomplishing His purposes. These verses invite us to remember His goodness when our hearts are troubled, trust His provision when our needs seem overwhelming, and rely on His power when our circumstances appear impossible. Perhaps you are walking through a season of waiting, wondering how your prayers will be answered or how your present struggles will ever come to an end. You may feel forgotten because the answers you long for have not yet arrived. But God’s silence is not proof of His absence, and a season of difficulty does not mean that His faithfulness has failed. The same Lord who has sustained you in the past remains worthy of your trust today. You do not need to understand every detail of His plan before you place your life in His hands. Remember His compassion, hold firmly to His promises, and trust that His wisdom exceeds your understanding. When your heart grows weary and the future seems uncertain, remember what God has done, trust Him for what you need, and rest in the assurance that His faithfulness endures forever.
