Seek first the Kingdom of God…

I love to write! We are building a community of readers and writers that share a passion to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then everything else will follow. This is a place where we express our writing and imagination for His glory.

Emotional Meditation By Micah Siemens

“The works of his hands are faithful and just; All his precepts are trustworthy” This verse reminds us that God’s instructions are reliable and His ways are always worthy of our trust. In a world filled with uncertainty, conflicting advice, and difficult decisions, we may struggle to know which direction to take. Perhaps you are facing a choice that weighs heavily on your heart, wondering whether to move forward or remain where you are. You may be afraid of making a mistake or choosing a path that leads to disappointment. When the way ahead seems unclear, remember that God’s Word remains a trustworthy guide. His wisdom does not change with the circumstances of our lives, and His truth does not lose its power when our feelings become unsettled. Although we may not always understand His instructions, we can trust that His ways are rooted in His perfect wisdom and goodness. When uncertainty troubles your heart, return to His Word, seek His guidance in prayer, and allow His truth to direct your steps. You may not know everything about tomorrow, but you can walk forward with confidence in the God whose Word never fails.

“They are established for ever and ever, enacted in faithfulness and uprightness” These words assure us that God’s truth is permanent, and His character is always faithful and righteous. Human promises may be broken, relationships may change, and circumstances we once depended on may suddenly disappear. Perhaps someone you trusted has disappointed you, or a painful experience has made it difficult for you to believe that anything in life remains secure. You may find yourself wondering whom you can trust when even the people closest to you have failed. In such moments, remember that God is not like the people who have hurt you. He does not change His character according to His convenience, nor does He abandon His truth when circumstances become difficult. His faithfulness remains steady even when everything around you feels uncertain. This does not mean that life will never bring disappointment, but it means that you have a firm foundation upon which to stand. When others fail to keep their promises, hold on to the promises of God. Let His unchanging character steady your troubled heart and remind you that your hope rests in the One who remains faithful forever.

“He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever—holy and awesome is his name” This verse reminds us that God has acted to redeem His people and establish His enduring covenant with them. His holiness reveals His greatness, while His redemption reveals the depth of His mercy. Perhaps you are carrying the weight of past mistakes, struggling with guilt, or wondering whether God can still use your life after the ways you have failed Him. You may feel unworthy to approach Him because of the choices you regret. Yet God’s redeeming grace reminds us that our failures do not have to define our future. Through Jesus Christ, God has made the way for forgiveness and reconciliation, inviting us to turn to Him with repentant hearts. His grace does not make sin insignificant, but it assures us that sincere repentance can lead us back into fellowship with Him. You do not need to remain trapped in shame when God calls you to receive His mercy and walk in renewed obedience. Come before Him honestly, confess what burdens your heart, and trust in the redemption He has provided. The God who is holy and awesome is also merciful and gracious, and His redeeming love gives us hope to begin again.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding” This verse teaches us that true wisdom begins with reverence for God and a willingness to live according to His Word. Wisdom is not merely knowing what is right; it is choosing to follow God’s truth even when obedience is difficult. Perhaps you have been searching for answers, hoping that experience, education, or the advice of others will help you navigate a complicated season of life. Yet despite everything you have learned, you may still feel uncertain about how to respond to a painful relationship, a difficult responsibility, or a decision that could affect your future. The fear of the Lord invites you to place His wisdom above your own understanding and allow His truth to shape your choices. It teaches you to seek His will rather than simply follow what feels easiest or most comfortable. This kind of wisdom grows as you listen to His Word, humble yourself before Him, and practice obedience in your daily life. You may not always make the perfect decision, but a heart that sincerely seeks God will continue learning to walk in His ways. When you do not know what to do, begin by asking what will honor Him. True wisdom is found not merely in knowing about God, but in reverently trusting Him and faithfully following His direction.

Psalm 111:7–10 reminds us that God’s Word is trustworthy, His character is unchanging, His redemption is secure, and His wisdom guides those who reverence Him. These verses invite us to trust His truth when life becomes confusing, rest in His faithfulness when people disappoint us, receive His mercy when we struggle with guilt, and seek His wisdom when we face difficult decisions. Perhaps you are entering a season filled with unanswered questions, uncertain circumstances, or regrets from the past. You may feel overwhelmed by the responsibility of choosing the right path or afraid that your weaknesses will keep you from moving forward. But you do not have to face every uncertainty relying on your own strength and understanding. God has given you His Word to guide you, His grace to restore you, and His wisdom to shape your life. You may not understand every circumstance, and you may not always know what tomorrow will bring, but you can remain confident in the One who holds your future. Let His truth guide your decisions, His redemption renew your hope, and His presence strengthen your heart. As you learn to revere Him and follow His ways, remember that the beginning of wisdom is not having every answer, but trusting the God who never fails.
